my goodness, you've gotten fat

I was rifling through some old pictures today and realized that I hadn't shown how much Nermal has grown in the last year since she started living with us and started going on the Smokey Diet. The diet consists of 1/4 can of wet catfood at 4pm, and again at 9pm, with feedings in the morning of dry food. Both of the cats are on the same diet. As you can see, there is a significant difference in their size at the beginning of this diet, Nermal being on the left, Smokey on the right. Now, Smokey has been on this diet for quite a few years, and has actually lost a few pounds over the course of it.


Now we move forward a year, to near-present time, to see that the Smokey Diet has indeed worked. It's not necessarily a weight-loss plan, but a plan to maintain a certain weight, which would be anywhere from 10 to 15 pounds. Smokey has dropped weight to be about 12 pounds or so, and Nermal has gained weight, and I'm guessing she's at a good 10 or 11 pounds by now. This time, Smokey is on the left, and Nermal is on the right. Hard to tell them apart, isn't it? Especially considering he was probably three times her size when she first moved in.
